Caeser Salad

Let’s rock that table setting with this flavourful Caesar salad!

Ingredients: 1 cos lettuce 1 long cucumber 1 hard boiled egg 2 rashes of bacon 2-3 thick slices of bread 1-2 garlic cloves Olive oil for drizzling Dressing: 3 tbs red/white wine vinegar 6 tbs olive oil 3-4 anchovies Dried basil Salt pepper

Method: Chop bread into large chunks and finely grate garlic over. Drizzle with olive oil and fry in a hot pan till crispy and toasted on all side. Fry bacon until super crispy and leave on paper towel to absorb excess oil. Chop lettuce and cucumber and transfer to a bowl. Layer over bacon and bread. To make the dressing mix all ingredients together and stir or shake rigorously till well emulsified. Drizzle over salad and toss well. Top with boiled egg.

Enjoy! I’m used to seeing this with a creamy sauce but with all the rich ingredients included I much like the end result with this salty vinegary dressing instead!
